Deputy Team Leader

•    Manage shift activities and achieve departmental goals through focusing on and promoting a team-based culture and a continuous improvement mindset.
•    Lead Quality actions and improvements ensuring production outputs are met Right First Time and delivery is On Time and in Full 
•    Plan, implement and control production operating targets and metrics to include OTD, Internal Scrap Rates, Claims and Returns, Press/Equipment Downtime and Die Failure Rate 
•    Contribute to daily communication meetings with the team and build strong relationships across departments to support effective decision making for operational performance
•    Promote good preventative maintenance scheduling and work with the Engineering department to secure best results from Planned Stops recording accurate details at the end of every planned stop. 
•    Make corrective actions where appropriate and report to relevant manager.
•    Ensure good housekeeping standards are managed and a safe working environment is achieved by embedding the 5S management program and following all HSE requirements.
•    Develop skills within the team through training activity that allows for rotation of skills and flexibility
•    Confident to able to perform and train all duties to the team across the press, including packing; saw; inspection; stretcher; dies and press driver.
•    To support the team Leader and Line Manager to deliver our people policies to include Absence Management, Performance, training and development, holiday booking and team engagement activity.
