Job Description

 

As the Quality Manager for Hydro Building Systems, your role will encompass the definition and implementation of product quality policies and objectives that align with the company’s strategic priorities. Your responsibility will be to ensure the application of these policies across all sites, maintaining customer satisfaction and reducing non-quality costs in compliance with normative requirements.

 

You will be tasked with establishing and managing the Quality System for Hydro Building Systems, conducting both internal and external quality audits. Additionally, you will outline guidelines for Quality training, including the methods and tools to be used.

 

In this position, you will interact with all sectors of our company, suppliers, and accreditation or certification bodies. You will spearhead the network of Quality Managers across different countries, handling major customer complaints while minimizing associated costs. In the event of design defects, you will collaborate with category managers, suppliers, and product development teams to develop corrective action plans and ensure follow-up. A key part of your role will be to ensure effective communication of issues and their status to all stakeholders.

Working in tandem with buyers, you will manage supplier quality by implementing improvement plans.

 

The location for this position is flexible, with a preference for Toulouse, France or Gerstungen, Germany, or any of our other European sites (Miranda, Aielli, Landen, Tewkesbury, Vetlanda). Regular trips to the Building Systems headquarters in Toulouse will be required.

 

Profile

 

As a candidate, you should possess a master’s degree in engineering, a master’s degree in quality, or equivalent qualifications gained through relevant experience. A minimum of 5 years relevant experience in a managerial role is expected. Proficiency in Quality standards and regulations, along with adeptness in problem-solving tools, is essential. You have gained your experience in an international environment with a multicultural team.

 

Experience in project management is of benefit. As a seasoned professional in your field, you should be capable of managing teams and projects cross-functionally, demonstrating flexibility, diplomacy, and leadership. The position requires rigorous organizational skills, which will be beneficial for you.

 

Your interpersonal skills should enable you to communicate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders. English fluency is a prerequisite. Proficiency in German and/or French would be advantageous for effective communication in an international context.
