Functional Specialist, MES Support

Job Summary: The Functional Specialist is the solution expert of one or more functional area/module in MES. The preferred candidate will act as liaison with the live businesses to conduct research, analyze, develop plans and technical reports while understanding the business and its processes. This position will require travel to plants on a project-to-project basis. The amount of projects will vary from year to year but will be 6 to 8 weeks per project.

Salary: $75,256 - $85,084

Required Education/Experience:

• College or University (IT /Business Degree or Equivalent)
• BCS Practitioner Certificate or equivalent
• PRINCE2 Certification or equivalent 

• Minimum 5 years working with MES / ERP or variant in a hands-on environment
• Minimum 5 years in operational support of MES systems with configurations including workflows
• Expert level understanding of MES / ERP systems (Hydra preferably) modules and underlying architecture design,
• At least 5 years in integrating MES/ERP with different business systems, as well as working with integration tools.
• Specific knowledge of Shop floor & Manufacturing; Supply Chain & Planning; Quality; ERP/ Process control integrations

• Integration understanding
• Expert knowledge on any MES/ERP system
• Strong spoken and written English

• Planning, organization and troubleshoot
• Develop and maintain effective and appropriate working relationships
• Critical thinking, problem solving and analysis 
• Work independently to analyze available information, draw conclusions and understanding   and present such conclusions effectively to senior managements 
• Respect diversity and work collaboratively with individuals of diverse cultural, social, and educational backgrounds 
• Be able to support multiple projects and BAU activities

Job Responsibilities:

• Serve as a functional liaison between departmental stakeholders and staff and/ or vendors
• supports multiple projects and BAU activities
• research, analyze, develop plans and technical reports
• Create functional detailed designed documentation
• Test scenarios/scripts to validate the solution
• Collaborate with solution architect to ensure global template consistency and solutions fits across locations.
• Liaison with live businesses to engage with solutions proposals and network with in the respective functional area/ module.
• Travel will vary depending on projects
