Marketing Coordinator

Summary: Hydro is looking for a Digital Marketing Coordinator to drive external marketing and communications efforts via social media, Hydro’s websites, and other digital channels.  The successful candidate will work as part of the company’s high-performing North American Marketing and Communications team in Portland, Oregon.  Remote applicants will be considered.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for content development and day-to-day management of all aspects of Hydro’s social media channels in North America
  • Develop integrated digital marketing campaigns in Pardot to attract customers in new markets, promote Hydro’s knowledge marketing efforts, and drive sales leads
  • Receive, evaluate, and convert incoming leads and queries from Hydro.com and other digital sources
  • Develop thought leadership content for LinkedIn, digital and traditional media, and other external channels
  • Ensure the Hydro brand is protected and represented accurately in digital channels
  • Support Hydro’s other marketing and communications efforts on an ad hoc basis
  • Create and edit a wide range of digital content (graphics, documents, photographs, video) for internal and external purposes using the Adobe suite


Job Requirements:

  • Solid understanding of integrated brand marketing strategies, including thought leadership, digital and in-person events, social media, and advertising campaigns
  • Experience with social media management tools such as Falcon.io and Social Studio
  • Experience with digital sales tools such as Pardot and Salesforce to drive lead generation and measure marketing campaign effectiveness
  • History of successfully attracting brand interest and engagement on social media platforms and in-person events
  • Demonstrated capabilities of using click-through metrics, SEO analytics, conversion metrics, post-event analysis to gauge campaign and event ROI
  • Experience tracking budgets and spend with external agencies, vendors, and other service providers
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams spanning Marketing, Sales, Internal Communications, Human Resources, and other stakeholder groups
  • Ability to balance creativity with organization and procedural excellence in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment
  • Ability to motivate yourself and work independently
  • Ability to quickly understand, analyze, and apply technology innovations and trends to your work efforts
  • Familiarity with the Adobe creative suite and basic layout requirements for print and digital publishing a plus
  • Experience with professional event management, both online and in-person, a plus
  • Experience creating customer-facing digital assets such as advertisements, documents, web and print graphics, etc.


Education and Work Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or related discipline
  • 3+ years of experience working with social media, event management and general marketing for an established B2B or B2C brand
  • Career history that demonstrates progressive responsibilities and accountability
