Team Leader, IT

Hydro Global Business Services (GBS) is an organizational area that operates as an internal service provider for the Hydro group. Its ultimate purpose is to deliver relevant IT, financial and HR business services to all business areas within the company.
 

Role purpose:

• The country IT Team Leader is responsible for managing the work of the Local IT infrastructure and Local IT application teams by providing administrative direction and support for daily operational activities.
• Ensures that Hydro GBS IT Architecture, Security, Operational standards, Policies and Strategy are followed on the locations, also that requirements from local business are understood in the setting of policy and strategy.
• Manages and prioritizes the different development tasks of the MES & ERP applications with the business representative and keeps them informed on a regular basis during development phases.
• Represents GBS IT towards local business management as a customer relation.
• Sets targets to his/her direct reports and measures performance against them as well as maintaining a motivating environment at both individual and team level.
• Helps finance by controlling spendings on IT.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinating the work of the local IT teams
• Organizing and controlling the resources required for delivering the agreed IT services
• Taking care of new business requests or the change of existing services driven by business case
• Planning, organizing and coordinating IT system deployments and standardization projects
• Coordinating projects initiated by GBS PMO and ensure smooth roll-out of new services, applications
• Representing GBS IT in local business leadership
• Acting as a focal point between the local IT organization and the different functional teams within GBS IT, as well as the outsourced service providers
• Escalating unresolved priority IT issues, any odd behaviour of the supported and maintained IT systems, which are not handled properly by the responsible support organization, in order to remove constraints from business flow
• Periodically analyzing and evaluating service metrics/measures to make sure that the delivered services meet business SLA and customer satisfaction
• Ensuring that GBS IT Architecture, Security and Operational standards and policies are applied on all locations in scope
• Monitor stability and robustness of the local IT applications and give feedback and proposals for improvement
• Complying with local legislation and HSSE regulations, policies and Standard Operating Procedures 

People management

Budget / KPIs

• Analyzing and acting on regular IT consumption reports to support business in eliminating waste and to keep IT costs at a reasonably minimum level
• Create and monitor department budget vs actual spendings during the entire year and make necessary steps if needed
• Follow and make actions regarding budget initiatives proposed by management
• Continuously develop and monitor the major KPIs to measure the performance and quality

Requirements:

• Min. 3 years of experience in coordination of IT support or application development activities
• Exposure to and understanding of a manufacturing environment is preferred
• Extensive IT infrastructure knowledge and be familiar with the role of ERP & MES systems
• Bachelor/Vocational Degree in IT
• Fluency in English and Swedish is mandatory. Any other language is a plus
