APPLICATION ENGINEER

About the job:
He/She will have to support the Procurement-AVA South Europe structure on 6 plants through the design, research and development of aluminum solutions with high added value, the definition of the Supply Chain linked to the implementation of these solutions and the scouting of suppliers who will have to carry out the work by interfacing with the customers' R&D Office and supporting the commercial structure to promote and transfer technological innovations.

Description:

- Research, promotion and development of new solutions

- Mechanical design of components and products, even complex or with a high technological content
- Interface with the customers' R&D Office for the definition of project specifications 
- Search for the correct Supply Chain linked to the implementation of the identified solutions
- Análisis de costes e identificación del ciclo de trabajo más adecuado para las nuevas soluciones identificadas
- Support to the Sales Force visiting customers 
- Control of the progress of the products throughout the sampling process 
- Mobility on the territory to visit customers and suppliers even with short-term trips

Skills and competencies:
- Degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical
- English (C1)
- Proven communication and public speaking skills
- Ability to analyze complex and articulated technical specifications
- Autonomy in drafting technical reports or creating product or process specifications
- Knowledge of 2D and 3D CAD software, preferably Solid Works
- Even basic knowledge of finite element calculation codes
- Fundamentals of Project Management necessary for the management of complex projects

- Analytical with a spirit of innovation and problem solving skills
- Ability to work in team
