Front-End Developer

Hydro Global Business Services (GBS) is an organizational area that operates as an internal service provider for the Hydro group. Its ultimate purpose is to deliver relevant IT, financial and HR business services to all business areas within the company.

 

You will be part of a diverse and dynamic iNet team working within development and maintenance of digital applications and platforms. As a qualified candidate for this role, we expect you to have a solid system understanding and front-end development competence. You should have the ability to translate the business requirements into functioning interactive applications and ensure a good user experience. On a personal level, we value your integrity, high focus on collaboration and attention to detail.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Detailed design, development to ensure deliverables are of the highest quality
  • Support the team with planning, scoping and creation of technical solutions for the new requests
  • Engage with business stakeholders to understand required capabilities, integrating business knowledge with technical solutions
  • Ensure brand consistency and high-quality graphics standards
  • Independently estimate and manage assigned tasks
  • Technical ownership of Hydro Design System

 

Requirements:

  • University degree preferably in IT
  • 2+ years of experience within web development
  • Deep JavaScript knowledge and rock-solid hands with HTML and CSS
  • Experience with Vue.js Framework, Type Script and Front end build tools (webpack, Vite)
  • Understanding of key design principles
  • Experience with responsive and adaptive design
  • Good understanding of basic SEO principles
  • Fluent in written and oral English
  • Norwegian language knowledge is an advantage, but not required
  • Experience from large organizations and complex systems is a plus
