Product Owner (BI)

Hydro Global Business Services (GBS) is an organizational area that operates as an internal service provider for the Hydro group. Its ultimate purpose is to deliver relevant IT, financial and HR business services to all business areas within the company.

About the job and your team

We are seeking an experienced Product Owner for our Business Intelligence team to lead the migration of our BI solutions from one data platform to an other. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between stakeholders and the development team, ensuring that the right product features are built to meet business needs.

You will work on

  • Developing and explicitly communicating the Product Goal
  • Engage with internal customers to understand, analyze, and document their business needs and objectives.
  • The data platform migration project needs to be broken down to meaningful user stories and subtasks by the Product Owner
  • Creating and clearly communicating Product Backlog items
  • Translate business requirements into technical requirements for BI team, factoring in business priorities and operational feasibility
  • Use your knowledge of business processes, systems, and industry standards to identify opportunities for process improvements
  • Ordering Product Backlog items
  • In collaboration with the migration project’s dedicated Scrum Master priority needs to be set up by the Product Owner
  • Proper documentation needs to be created by project team member, to get it created is the responsibility pf the Prodict Owner
  • Actively participate in agile BI development process, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, and review sessions
  • Ensuring that the Product Backlog is transparent, visible and understood
  • Close collaboration with BI team members (Scrum Master, Business Analyst, BI developer, Data Engineer, Architects)
  • Close collaboration from requestor (business side)
     

 

Your qualifications and skills

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, Senior Business Analyst or in a related field
  • Proven experience in business process analysis, product management or project management
  • Experience with SCRUM methodology
  • Experience in the manufacturing sector, domain knowledge in plant maintenance is a plus
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field
  • Experienced in Microsoft BI or Snowflake tools for the purpose of understanding and conveying the feasibility and impact of potential solutions
  • Familiarity with new generation ERPs like S/4HANA and other SAP products is a big plus
  • Certifications in business analysis methodologies, design thinking or other relevant business process improvement methodologies are highly desired
  • Fluent English a must
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to simplify complex information for a variety of audiences
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and work in an environment with frequent changes and interruptions
  • Willingness to travel
