SAP Roll-out Cutover Manager
Hydro Global Business Services (GBS) is an organizational area that operates as an internal service provider for the Hydro group. Its ultimate purpose is to deliver relevant IT, financial and HR business services to all business areas within the company.
Role purpose
The Cutover Manager is responsible for the overall orchestration of preparation, planning and execution of SAPEX Roll-out Cutover activities and responsible to build the cutover plan, from high-level cutover principles identified in the early stages of the project (e.g. the black-out window) until consolidation of all central and local inputs into a detailed checklist.
The Cutover manager works with the different functional and technical teams and works in close collaboration with the local business cutover managers from the different plants that are in scope.
You will work on
- Drive, define and align the Cutover strategy
- Define the cutover plan, in conjunction with all IT and business stakeholders
- Collect the loading plan from the Data Migration team and integrate it in the overall Cutover plan.
- Collect the business ramp-down and ramp-up plan and integrate it in the overall Cutover plan.
- Develop the cut-over plan with the local business cut-over manager(s)
- Manage the execution of the Cut-Over
- Manage cutover communication strategy and ensure communication of cutover progress, supported by relevant statistics and dashboards.
- Manage cutover defects (ensure correct logging, prioritization, ownership assignment and timely resolution)
- Provide different black out window strategies (zero down time)
- Orchestrate daily stand-up calls to monitor cutover execution progress and define actions to recuperate delays.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in SAP project delivery, of which at least 5 in a SAP S/4HANA context.
- Experience in the manufacturing industry (preferably steel or aluminium business)
- Experience and general knowledge about SAP and/or MES systems
- Experience with defining and execution cutover plans for complex SAP projects in a multi-national context
- Experience with working effectively and efficiently in a complex matrix-organisational structure
- Excellent communication & presentation skills, must be a team player
- Worked in onsite-offshore delivery mode
- College or University (IT /Business Degree or Equivalent)
- Project Management methodologies (PMI, Prince 2, Agile/Scrum, …)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Solution builder and consensus seeker
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Good solution and people management skills
- Good overall (cutover) management skills
- Working in a multi-cultural environment
- Preparedness to travel (within Europe) for 50% of the time
