Consultant, SAP Procurement

Hydro Global Business Services (GBS) is an organizational area that operates as an internal service provider for the Hydro group. Its ultimate purpose is to deliver relevant IT, financial and HR business services to all business areas within the company.



Role purpose:


This role is an active member of the SAP Services Team, with the main objectives being to assist in support and enhancement of the locations running S/4 as their ERP platform and active engagement in the testing /training activities for sites implementing S/4.





  • Assist in monitoring the incoming Incidents, Service or Change requests
  • Issue resolution for incidents and problems for live units in S4
  • Deliver pre-defined Service Requests
  • Design, configure, test, and train business for enhancements/Change Requests in collaboration with Solution Architects
  • Manage test script and documentation control
  • Coordinate others’ tasks in delivering the above
  • Regarding rollout projects to new locations participate in Hypercare support, knowledge transfer and other takeover activities to support from Project Team
  • Perform dedicated and high-focused business support during period end closing
  • Actively engage in continuous improvement efforts
  • Proactively pursue operations support process improvements and initiatives
  • Work with key users to define issues, requests, and requirements
  • Assist in creation/changes of test scripts
  • Assist in execution of UAT
  • Perform daily tasks in the global ticketing system
  • Assist in creation/changes of training materials



Required skills


  • 4-6 years in comparable SAP MM role
  • Functional or Technical related work experience with SAP
  • IT/Business Degree or Equivalent
  • Understanding of technical environment of business applications
  • Configuration experience
  • Solid understanding of business processes related to business applications
  • Strong systems literacy with ability to quickly learn new system functionality
  • Customer oriented through striving to understand business needs and providing appropriate support
  • Proactive approach to problem solving
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work cohesively as independent team member in a remote work environment
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Fluency in English
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (heavy focus on Excel and Word)


Preferred skills


  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Basic debugging skills
  • Basic knowledge of project management within IT, preferably with ERP implementations
  • Basic knowledge of change management procedures within IT
  • Experience in document control
