ServiceNow Architect

Hydro Global Business Services (GBS) is an organization that operates as an internal service provider for the Hydro group. It`s ultimate purpose is to deliver relevant IT, financial and HR business services to all business areas within the company.

 

ServiceNow is a platform used globally in Hydro and is key for the delivery of GBS services within IT and Finance. Hydro is currently using ServiceNow functionality within ITSM, ITOM, Strategic Portfolio Management, Integrated Risk Management and capabilities from Core Services and Now Intelligence. The ServiceNow Enterprise Service Management team is responsible for application management for the ServiceNow platform.

You have a background in solution design, and you would like to contribute to technical decisions enabling our internal customers to get the highest possible value from solutions in ServiceNow.

Role purpose:

 

Our new ServiceNow Architect will be a trusted technical advisor and has a key role in defining ServiceNow related architecture and standards as well actual solution design. You will be assisting with design and implementation of Servicenow modules, applications, and custom functionality in addition to playing a key role in the implementation of Servicenow projects and enhancement requests.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Establish and manage ServiceNow technical governance and standards according to best practice, always ensuring scalable solutions
  • Understand how different ServiceNow modules interact to ensure that configuration done in one area is not negatively impacting other areas
  • Drive standardization
  • Assist with the design and implementation of Servicenow modules, applications, and custom functionality
  • Provide technical evaluation of demands against ServiceNow platform architecture, platform capabilities, and best practice
  • Analyze and translate business information and technical requirements into architectural blueprints and functional design to match customer requirements
  • Follow implementations from idea concept to deployment
  • Facilitating requirements gathering workshops, validating solutions and test the interpretation of the client’s needs
  • Participate in design and implementation of integrations between ServiceNow and other 3rd party enterprise applications
  • Support the ServiceNow Enterprise Service Management team with operational- and project related ServiceNow activities
  • Effectively manage key internal stakeholders

 

Requirements:

 

  • Industry and project experience of 2+ years with ServiceNow
  • ServiceNow System Administrator certification and/or and Implementation Specialist
  • Some technical knowledge is highly desirable – programming: Javascript, SQL, etc.
  • Experience working in an IT Service Management (ITIL) / Agile / DevOps environment
  • ITIL Foundation as a minimum
  • Have the drive and determination to learn and continuously share your knowledge with others
  • Experience working with international teams and passionate about working in a fast-paced global environment
  • Fluency in English
  • Strong Analytical skills with a holistic solution focus – able to look at the bigger picture
  • Service-minded with the ability also to challenge customer requests
  • Adaptable and friendly nature
  • Willing to travel upon need
