Team Lead, SAP Data Migration
Hydro Global Business Services (GBS) is an organizational area that operates as an internal service provider for the Hydro group. Its ultimate purpose is to deliver relevant IT, financial and HR business services to all business areas within the company.
Role purpose:
The primary role and accountability of the Data Migration Team Lead is to improve and execute the end-to-end SAP and MES Data Migration Strategy for the assigned to project. The role is a regional one (EU, US or Asia), but as much as possible synergies among regions and projects within the region need to be ensured in the execution of strategic and operational activities.
Responsibilities:
- Improve, maintain and execute the SAP and MES Data migration strategy
- Document the SAP and MES Data entity model in conjunction with the Data Migration Manager and the SAP and MES functional teams
- Design, develop and coordinate the integrity of the Data Migration and its environments for the global template in conjunction with the Data Migration Manager
- Define the scope of data migration objects for the assigned to roll-our project and define the migration strategy for every data migration object in the scope.
- Manage and lead the team of Data Migration Experts for the assigned to project
- Work with the functional and business teams to execute the Data Migration Strategy
- Provide weekly status reporting about Data Migration activities for the assigned to project
- Design, develop, plan and monitor the execution of an agreed set of Data Migration Test cycles in accordance with the agreed ERP deployment testing and DM strategies
- Design, develop and maintain an agreed set of Data Migration test scripts in accordance with the agreed ERP test cycles
- Coordinate the execution of data test scripts
- Coordinate the formal capture, analysis and remedial action of data related faults found as part of the testing cycles
- Coordinate site data cleansing activity (in conjunction with or delegated to a local site data coordinator)
- Design, develop, implement and execute Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) processes and protocols e.g. data repositories, extract histories, error trapping conventions, error resolution processes and sign-off criteria -
- Design functional and technical specifications for Data Extracts, Translations and Loads (ETL)
- Source appropriate ETL toolset
- Design, develop and implement data validation and reconciliation processes and controls
- Update test rig to capture test scripts, sequencing, faults, patches and remedial actions as a result of data related faults
- Liaise with the basis team to preserve the integrity of the Data environments and supporting materials
Requirements:
- 5+ years of managing Data Migration and Integration stage ERP projects.
- Experience in people management
- Full lifecycle SAP experience in an SAP manufacturing environment with specific understanding of manufacturing, supply chain, shop floor, commercial and finance processes and operations
- College or University (IT /Business Degree or Equivalent)
- Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) or equivalent
- SAP systems general architecture; Broad understanding of business functions. Specific knowledge of master and transactional data objects in SAP (all modules SD, MM, WM, PP, QM, FI and CO).
- ETL methodology, tools and processes
- Technical expertise in: Data Models, Database Design Oracle SQL or MS SQL, Access queries & report writing
- Technical knowledge of BODS, S/4 Hana Migration Cockpit (2022 beneficial), LSMW and Winshuttle
- Fluent in English is mandatory. Any other language is a plus
