HR & Business Administration Apprentice

ROLE PURPOSE:

To provide administrative and support to all organsation departments with HR being the primary department.

 

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensuring One system is up to date (e.g. starters, leavers, all employees in correct structure and all required details on individual profiles are uploaded)
  • To complete job description audit and to action outcomes accordingly (e.g. ensuring all staff have correct contract and job description as per their job role)
  • Tracking of: appraisals, goal setting, training
  • Absence management administration (e.g. chasing outstanding RTWs, booking in absence meetings with HRBP and Managers where applicable)
  • Recruitment and onboarding administration (e.g. organising interviews, organising inductions for new starters, putting new starter packs together)
  • Ensuring GDPR activities are up to date and track where applicable
  • Maintain accurate electronic and hard copy personnel files
  • Coordinate events, e.g. training sessions and send invites, assist with organisation of school visits and charity events
  • Tracking of KPIs
  • Assist Managers with admin around ‘Training & Induction’ project for site (e.g. all employees have the relevant training records and filed accordingly electronically & hard copy, all records updated on relevant matrices)
  • Taking minutes of meetings where necessary
  • Filing where necessary and ensuring GDPR practices are being adhered to
  • Tracking of training for departments
  • Ordering of goods using business verified channels (e.g. via Amazon), answering anomaly queries (e.g. late payments)
  • To assist with implementation of SOPs (with help from Production)
  • Assist with communication and associated admin reference required planned Maintenance
  • Labelling and logging of stock checks
  • Communication reference ‘you said, we did’ for departments
  • Support Production Manager with daily outputs vs planned outputs (drive productivity and plant profitability)
  • IATF administration where required to support Quality (e.g. claims monitoring)

Experience, Education & Skills:

  • Good English skills both orally and written
  • Good level of MS office and IT competence
  •  Working towards CIPD qualification is desirable
  • Organised and structured way of working
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Good work ethic and drive to complete work
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to handle confidential information discreetly
  • Eagerness to develop and grow within HR field
  • Ability and willingness to travel
