About the job and your team
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced External Sales Manager who resides in the South of the UK to join our team.
The external account manager is responsible for developing and maintaining our existing customer base while generating and following through on new leads to secure new business. The successful candidate will have a clear mandate to drive sales and contribute to the overall growth of the company. The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator with a thorough understanding of business developments, competition and market trends, ensuring the company maintains and enhances its position in the market.
You will work on
- Drive sales and contribute to overall growth of company.
- Develop budgets and maintain sales targets for existing and new business.
- Negotiate contracts and close sales deals.
- Develop and maintain relationships with existing customers.
- Generate and follow through on leads to secure new business.
- Regular contact through visits to customer base.
- Provide excellent service to customers, balancing their needs with an understanding of manufacturing processes and targets.
- Communicate effectively with customers and internal teams.
- Stay informed about business developments, competition and market trends.
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations and proposals.
- Monitor and report on sales performance and customer feedback.
- Keeping abreast of, and advising on, any appropriate new developments and trends, which may affect the company, its customers and prospects and the industry in general.

Your qualifications and skills
Work Experience: Several years of experience in a sales role within the manufacturing industry. Previous experience within the aluminium industry is advantageous.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for clear and effective interactions with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
Customer Focus: Deep understanding of customer needs and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
Innovative Thinking: Ability to think creatively and propose innovative solutions to improve sales processes and outcomes.
Driving licence and confidence to travel is essential
