Job Summary:
Lead Supervisors and team members in a flow path to safely produce quality extrusions at the lowest cost by problem-solving to eliminate waste and continue growth.
Required Education/Experience:
- Associate degree (two-year program) or equivalent formal training program.
- Five years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent.
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing concepts.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and have excellent problem solving and decision-making skills.
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the leadership of Supervisors and team members that allows an environment of learning and growth. Establish goals that support those of the business unit, measuring of those goals, and provide support to attaining goals through feedback, performance management, and coaching.
- Lead and provide Supervisors with the tools and resources to improve and find methods to enhance our safety and environmental objectives.
- Improve processes by utilizing Labor, quality, process control, key process changes, equipment, and capital project improvements within the Department.
- Problem-solve issues or needs of customers, both internal and external, to develop systems or products that add value to customers and have a strong business case.
- Ensure equipment is maintained to provide reliable delivery to our customers. Recognize equipment improvement needs, upgrades, and project support to allow improved productivity performance and reduced downtime.
- Provides a physically and emotionally safe working environment promoting mutual trust and respect.
- Provides leadership, mentoring and coaching for manufacturing in areas of safety, quality, time and cost.
- Facilitate change and drive continuous improvement from experiments to systematic, sustainable processes.
