Ingot Production Worker

Job Summary: 

Motivated individuals who can perform multi-functions in a manufacturing environment.  Individuals and organizations' objectives are to safely manufacture, package, and ship high-quality products to our customers on time.  This position is to apply for our INGOT DEPARTMENT.  This department typically hires for receiver, chief caster and chief furnace operator positions.  

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Safely and efficiently operator assigned equipment or machine.
  • Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments or material or equipment needs.
  • Read plans, instructions, or specifications to determine work activities.
  • Lifts and stacks products.
  • Maintains efficiency standards set for assigned area.
  • Maintains good housekeeping of work areas.
  • Accurately record numbers or lengths of units handled or moved.
  • Safely and responsibly operate forktrucks and overhead cranes.

 

Required Education/Experience:

  • No high school diploma or GED required

 

Preferred Skills/Qualifications: 

  • Manufacturing experience is preferred.
  • Molten Metal experience is preferred is helpful, but not required.
  • Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment is helpful, but not required.
  • Prior experience operating mobile equipment including a forklift or Combi is helpful, but not required.
  • Prior eperience operating overhead cranes is helpful, but not required.
  • Must have basic math skills (add, subtract, divide, multiply)
  • Must be able to use a calculator
  • Must be able to read a tape measure
  • Must be able to regularly lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Must be able to work long hours as needed in seasonal temperatures.
  • Must be able to read and understand English
  • Must be able to read, understand, and follow all work and safety instructions
  • Must be able to work well with others as part of a team
  • Must possess a willingness to learn and an eagerness to grow
  • Must be able to follow detailed directions

Entry Level Production Begins at $22.59/ hour

Receiver Positions: $24.65/ hour

Chief Caster: $27.72

Chief Furnace Operator: $27.72

Plus $1/ hour shift differential
