Maintenance Manager

Job Summary: Reporting to the Plant Manager, the role is accountable for tactical control (60%) execution of the maintenance and reliability plan for operational effectiveness and strategically (40%) to preserve the asset health of the facility.   

  

Required Education/Experience:

  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in maintenance, preferably in an extrusion environment.
  • Minimum of 2 year's experience of working knowledge with (CMMS) MVP or other computer applications.
  • Minimum of 2 year's experience in blue print reading and estimating needs.
  •  

Preferred Skills/Qualifications: 

  • Engineering degree is preferred or a combination of technical school and experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent supervisory, organizational and communication skills and the ability to develop relationships with stakeholders of varying cultural backgrounds and values.

 

Competencies: 

  • Project management and prioritizing, repairing work schedule, recording and reporting.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assure three types of maintenance work are done safely with quality, at low cost and on time.
    1) Routine Maintenance, includes PM plans and preservation activities such as lubrication, inspections, testing and PDM.
    2) Back log relief deals with investigation, repair, and restoration activities.
    3) Emergency response immediately action to address breakdowns and other suddenly developed conditions.
  • Support/Sponsor planned work preparation and reduce unplanned downtime assure the craftsmen wrench time is optimized, ensure full PM is carried out, lead team to delivery effectively.
  • Participate/foster and facilitate problem solving session between Operation/Engineering and maintenance to the elimination of repetitive failures
  • Manage, coach, and develop a high performing Maintenance team that meets agreed objectives, and delivers best practices results, added value and continuous improvements.
  • Set department objectives/KPIs and review assess ongoing performance of direct reports.
  • Input and hold responsibility for maintenance budgets.
  • Work in partnership with Operation/Production manager collaboratively, negotiate, and engage to deliver maximum compliance of the maintenance strategy.
  • Oversee safety guidelines and provide a structured, composed environment for team members.
  • Deliver on projects and enhancement of department overall.
