Junior Functional Specialist Mendix, GBS

Hydro Global Business Services (GBS) is an organizational area that operates as an internal service provider for the Hydro group. Its ultimate purpose is to deliver relevant IT, financial and HR business services to all business areas within the company.
 

Role purpose:

This role is responsible for the rapid and qualitative delivery of tailor-made (internal) applications built on the low-code platform Mendix. This involves requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and project management, driving the end-to-end process in order to add value to business partners.

Responsibilities:

• Analyse business requirements and processes, translating those to custom-built Mendix applications
• Deliver new functionality in an iterative manner
• Contribute to improving Hydro’s internal Mendix Framework
• Act as sounding board to Product Owners and promote Agile/SCRUM methodology
• Technical contribution to improving Hydro’s internal Mendix Framework (discuss, challenge, advise, provide alternative solutions, create designs, create changes, develop changes)
• Project participation in business application projects (implementations, new developments, process changes, upgrades, data conversions)

Requirements:

• Fluent Dutch language knowledge
• Fluent English language knowledge
• 1+ years of experience in a comparable role within IT or Business is an advantage
• Technical related work experience with same/similar low-code platforms is an advantage
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
• IT /Business Degree or Equivalent
• Agile/SCRUM framework knowledge is an advantage
• Understanding of the business processes related to Rapid Application Development is preferred
• Hands-on knowledge of the Mendix platform or similar low-code platforms is preferred
• Intermediate Developer certification is an advantage
• Knowledge of basic project management procedures within IT is preferred
• Customer oriented through striving to understand business needs and through providing with appropriate solutions
