Job Summary:

The Maintenance Fabrication/Kitting Attendant is responsible for performing general maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and property structures.  All work will be completed in compliance with Hydro safety policies, EPA, Hazmat and OSHA safety rules and regulations.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform minor repairs on buildings, HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and painting as necessary.
  • Implement preventative maintenance measures.
  • Maintain an inventory of repair equipment and supplies.
  • Respond quickly in the event of an emergency, notify appropriate personnel and follow safety protocol.
  • Organize the Kiting cage and parts warehouses. 
  • Perform other maintenance duties as requested.
  • Work planning with Maintenance planner and Scheduler.
  • Support and sponsors all continuous reliability improvement standards and practices.
  • Follows applicable Job Safety Analysis and Work Instructions.

Job Requirements:

  • Basic understanding of safety principles.
  • Ability to recognize risks and hazards.
  • General knowledge and understanding of quality standards.
  • Strong housekeeping and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in basic computer applications.
  • Ability to read a tape measure accurately.
  • Basic mathematical skills.

Education and Work Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • 1-2 years of general maintenance experience is preferred
  • Ability to work a full 12-hour shift on a set schedule
