Job Summary:
The Production Control Manager, reporting to the Plant Manager, ensures timely and complete delivery of customer orders while maintaining competitive lead times. This role leads and coordinates the Extrusion, Paint, Fabrication, Materials Flow, and Plant Scheduling teams, aligning manufacturing capacity with demand. The manager also acts as the bridge between sales and production, providing recommendations for staffing to meet operational requirements. This position reports to the Plant Manager.
Required Education/Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Production Control Management in a manufacturing setting.
Preferred Skills/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Certification in Supply Chain, Production Control or Inventory Management is preferred.
- Experience in aluminum extrusions, finishing, or fabrication is preferred.
- Experience with ERP systems (AS400 preferred).
- Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of Lean, Continuous Improvement, and manufacturing resource planning (work scheduling/lead times).
- Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective leadership with a focus on people and customer satisfaction.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
