HSE & Quality Coordinator

Key responsibilities

  • Monitor compliance with the requirements and procedures of the HSEQ management system
  • Provide advice and support to department leaders and employees in all HSEQ-related matters
  • Assist in the preparation, planning, and execution of internal safety, environmental and quality audits
  • Organize and/or deliver HSEQ training sessions in a high-quality and timely manner
  • Conduct or participate in general HSEQ inductions for new employees
  • Participate in or lead investigations of HSEQ incidents or accidents
  • Develop proposals and perform analyses to address, reduce, and mitigate existing and potential safety and environmental risks
  • Propose improvements to housekeeping standards
  • Contribute to the development of the annual HSEQ Plan and the five-year HSEQ Action Plans
  • Support the implementation and quality monitoring of HSEQ plans, objectives, audits, and corrective actions
  • Monitor the effectiveness of HSEQ measures taken
  • Ensure internal and external HSEQ reporting and communication
  • Prepare HSEQ statistics and relevant reports
  • Maintain up-to-date HSEQ documentation and archives
  • Act as a proactive sparring partner for the Plant Manager, department leaders, employees  and other key internal and external stakeholders
  • Organize and follow up on all HSEQ trainings (e.g. First Aid, Fire Safety, Mobile Equipment, Cranes, etc.)
  • Conduct risk analyses, ad hoc assessments, and support the implementation and participation in HSEQ-related projects

Your qualifications and skills

  • Relevant degree in Health, Safety, Environment, Quality Management, or a related field but not essential as full training will be given
  • Strong knowledge of HSEQ regulations, not essential as full training will be given
  • Experience in risk analysis, audit, and continuous improvement, not essential as full training will be given
  • Excellent communication, leadership and coaching skills
  • Ability to work across departments and with external partner
  • Problem-solving & analytical thinking – ability to identify risks, analyze incidents, and implement improvements
  • Attention to detail – ensuring compliance with regulations, audits, and safety standards
  • Adaptability & resilience – staying effective in a changing regulatory or operational environment
  • Collaboration & team spirit – working across departments and engaging with external stakeholders
  • Training & coaching skills – ability to raise awareness, run workshops, and motivate staf.
  • Conflict resolution – handling sensitive issues constructively, especially when enforcing compliance
  • Time management & organization – balancing inspections, reporting, and continuous improvement projects
  • Proactive mindset – anticipating risks and proposing innovative solutions rather than reacting only to problem
  • Be assertive
