Job Summary:

This position is accountable for management of the production functions for the Gainesville Operations. The challenge is to manage the
environmental aspects of the operations based on sound business decisions while ensuring compliance with legal requirements of local,
state, federal regulations and corporate policy, and maintaining positive public relations.

Required Education/Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years prior supervisory/management experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); able to create charts in Excel, etc.
• Fluency in English.

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

• A post-secondary degree a plus but not required.
• The appropriate candidate for this position is results oriented, team player, self-starting, dynamic, flexible, and strongly motivated to succeed and deliver.
• Manufacturing experience.
• Must be able to organize and manage multiple tasks.
• Formal Leadership training (Manage multiple objectives and deadlines).
• Strong working knowledge of Extrusion Press Practices.
• Ability to communicate orally and in writing effectively with supervisors, peers and subordinates.
• Experience in Lean Manufacturing concepts.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provides leadership, mentoring and coaching for manufacturing in areas of safety, quality, time and cost.
• Facilitate change and drive continuous improvement from experiments to systematic, sustainable processes.
• Maintains records and reporting of pounds/hrs., efficiency, utilization, and recovery rates.
• Part of the Help Chain for other Supervisors and Team Members.
• Sponsor Problem Solving and Kaizen activities.
• Helps design and develop standardized work, JSAs, SOPs, etc.- Implement safety policies and procedures.
• Oversee production employees in the extrusion department.
• Accountability for departmental process/procedural improvements through the principles of Lean Manufacturing.
• Manage workflow and schedule production to meet customer demand.
• Ensure all customer quality requirements are being met.
• Work with production and traffic departments to ensure all customer orders are on time.
