Maintenance Manager

Business unit Recycling within Aluminium Metal operates seven recycling plants and a scrap sorting plant, and we are aiming for no less than industry leadership in aluminium recycling.
We are looking for a Maintenance Manager to join our Recycling plant in Azuqueca.
As a key member of the management team, the Maintenance Manager will be in charge of leading the preventive, corrective and predictive maintenance work of the plant following all safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Responsible that all safety standards are communicated and followed in the maintenance department
- Be a visible leader who follows up in the field
- Supervise the planning of the preventive mechanical and electrical maintenance of all the plant´s machinery and equipment, as well as of the corrective maintenance actions.
- Develop maintenance philosophy, strategy and system by ensuring effective integration of LEAN / Six Sigma principles in the maintenance department
- Responsible for establishing a maintenance budget, follow and improve the maintenance cost according to the approved budget
- Represent the maintenance team in Hydro as the plant’s representative
- Initiate and lead the continuous improvement work
- Perform one to one conversations with all maintenance employees to set and follow-up clear personal goals and development activites and promoting the needed technical training.
- Ensure that the maintenance department, either by internal resources or with external companies, have the required competence to maintain critical equipment
- Reach objectives of reducing technical stops.
- As part of the management team of the plant, collaborate in the general objectives of the plant and with the rest of the departments.
- Supervise automation processes and align automation strategies with plant goals and regulatory requirements.
Required Competence
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering or similar (or demonstrated experience in similar position)
- Fluency in Spanish and English
- Leadership experience from production/manufacturing.
- Experienced user of production/maintenance systems
- Residence in Guadalajara or Madrid area
