Human Resources Manager - Fabrication Plant

Required Education/Experience:
- BS Degree in HR, Business, or related field
- 7+ years of HR generalist experience
- Minimum 3 years of labor relations and manufacturing environment experience
- Fluency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint and common HRIS
Preferred Skills/Qualifications:
- SPHR or PHR certification is a plus
- Superior communication skills
- Must be able to work cohesively in a team environment
- Must be able to read, write, and comprehend policies, quality management system procedures and other plant procedures
- Fluency in English and Spanish preferred.
Job Responsibilities:
- Plant Lead Team member: initiate strategic and tactical solutions to support plant and corporate initiatives
- Enforce compliance with administrative policies, procedures, safety rules and governmental regulations and laws
- Provide management, direction and support for the HR and Payroll team members
- People development: identify and develop leaders through mentoring, coaching, and training
- Assess, develop, and implement training activities such as legal compliance, team building and department specific training; implement corporate trainings
- Work collaboratively with managers to address performance concerns such as absenteeism, policy violation and behavioral concerns
- Labor relations management including foster positive working relations with union leaders, negotiate the collective bargaining agreement, address employee concerns, process grievance, participate in Boards of Adjustment and represent the company during arbitrations
