The business area Extruded Solutions is present with 7 closely co-operating plants on the Benelux level. At the plant in Lichtervelde (B), about 150 colleagues produce with our biggest extrusion press big & wide profiles for various industrial clients, such as rolling stock (train, HST, subway, tramway,…) manufacturers. We deliver custom made solutions with added value machining, assembly and logistic services. We are fast growing and recruiting a (m/f):

Project Engineer

Job Responsibilities

Technical support for added value operations  for the Project Development Engineer and for Sales

• Pre-sales support for Fabrication (Internal & subcontracting)
• Feasibility studies
• Development of new products
• Technical support for continuous improvement

• Requests for Quotation for subcontracting
•  

Project support for Project Development Engineer and Project Manager

• Configuration management
• Change management for external changes ( on request of customer or subcontractor ) and internal changes
• Documentation of the Supply Chain flows
• Requests for ordering at subcontractors

Technical support for subcontractors and for internal production

• Drawings 2D/3D
• Clarify customer specifications
• Engineering of solutions for machining, packaging, tooling, Calibers
• Continuous improvement and problem solving 

Technical support for Purchasing:

• Capability study of subcontractors

Qualifications:

• A higher degree in engineering (Ma. or Ba.), preferably in a mechanical field.
• Some experience with project management is appreciated, but young graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Ability to work in an international and multicultural environment, fluent in Dutch and English.
• Excellent communication, problem solving and analytical skills, and the ability to plan and manage your own workload.
