We are looking for an Aluminium Buyer to join our Corporate Metal Group.
The position will be in charge of the acquisition of raw material (aluminiun Scrap) working closely with suppliers in order to optimize the commercial relationship, in Spain and Portugal.
The position is based in Madrid or Barcelona.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The position involves the following roles and responsibilities:

  • Interact with suppliers of aluminium scrap building positive relationships, negotiating in an effective way , soliciting the on-time delivery of products and solutions.
  • Analyse categories of spending to determine potential cost savings (eg. economies of scale, …);
  • Management of existing supplier relationships and contracts;
  • Develop new supplier base in line with global procurement policy;
  • Renegotiation of supplier contracts when required;
  • Study the relevant markets, keeping up-to-date with the latest trends and techniques;
  • Communicate efficiently and provide clear data to internal Technical, Sales, Quality departments.
  • Supporting commercial bidding processes in purchasing costs related to the projects under analysis.
  • Review orders for completeness, accuracy and compliance.
  • Support factories (remote or in situ) when required by business.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • More than 5 years of experience in purchasing of raw materials (aluminium will be preferable, but other raw materials could be also accepted) and Raw Material purchasing (Aluminium mainly, but open to other raw material depending on the experience)
  • Additional knowledge: Supply Chain , Industrial Purchasing, Aluminium market
  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferable in Engineering but open to other degrees depending on the experience). 
  • Must be fluent in English: Advanced level of English - C1 (daily use) – Other languages like Portuguese is a plus.
  • IT/Softwares: MS Office: Advanced (Excel, Power Point, Word) and SAP: MM model (preferable, not mandatory)
  • Skills in Negotiation, Commercial, Communication, Team Player
  • Permanent Contract
  • Frequent national travels/ occasionally international travels (always under Company travel policy).
