Maintenance Mechanic

Starting Rate of pay:
$43.00 - $45.59 (Rate will be $1 less during probationary period – 600 hours worked).
Shifts Available and Hours:
We are a unionized company, and new employees will be working alternating shifts based on production needs, as follows:
- Day shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Evening shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
- Overnight shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Job Responsibilities:
- Effective troubleshooting and repair of extrusion equipment.
- Adhere to all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) protocols and ensure a safe working environment.
- Carry out day-to-day preventative maintenance checks.
- Respond to equipment breakdown calls.
- Complete assigned work orders.
- Perform routine preventive and predictive maintenance on all production equipment and building systems.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in an industrial environment.
- Experience in the aluminum extrusion industry is an asset.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Must hold valid Ontario Provincial Certificate of Qualification as a Maintenance Mechanic or Millwright.
