Job Summary: As the Assistant Regional Controller - Manufacturing, you will play a critical role in collaborating with the manufacturing facilities. Working closely with the Sr. Regional Controller you will be responsible for managing the financial reporting, analysis, and compliance functions with emphasis on manufacturing locations. Your expertise in financial management and manufacturing processes will contribute to the company's financial success and strategic decision-making.

  

 

Required Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA qualification is a plus.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in financial management, accounting, or controlling within the manufacturing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and manufacturing processes.
  • Proficiency in financial software systems (Oracle and S4 Hana) and advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong understanding of compliance requirements and internal controls specific to the manufacturing sector.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet strict deadlines, and adapt to a dynamic manufacturing environment.

  

 Job Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting and Analysis: Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial reports for the manufacturing division, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Analyze financial data to provide insights into cost variances, production efficiencies, and other key performance indicators.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with the manufacturing team to develop and review budgets for various manufacturing processes and projects. Monitor actual performance against budgets and provide variance analysis to support decision-making and cost control efforts.
  • Cost Accounting: Oversee the cost accounting process for manufacturing activities, including inventory valuation, production costs, and overhead allocation. Implement and maintain cost accounting standards to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Inventory Management: Work closely with manufacturing and supply chain teams to optimize inventory levels, ensure proper valuation, and minimize excess or obsolete inventory risks.
  • Compliance and Internal Controls: Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies within the manufacturing division. Implement and monitor internal control procedures to safeguard assets and maintain data integrity.
  • Capital Expenditure Analysis: Evaluate capital investment proposals for manufacturing projects, providing financial analysis and ROI assessments to aid in decision-making.
  • Manufacturing Performance Analysis: Collaborate with the manufacturing team to analyze production efficiencies, identify bottlenecks, and recommend process improvements to enhance operational performance and cost-effectiveness.
  • Auditing and External Reporting: Support the external audit process and coordinate with auditors to provide necessary documentation and explanations related to manufacturing financials.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with the manufacturing, supply chain, and finance teams to ensure effective communication and alignment of financial objectives with operational goals.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes, enhance reporting accuracy, and drive efficiency in the manufacturing division.
