Die Technology Manager

Job Summary: The successful candidate will plan and lead activities in extrusion tooling technology to systematically improve ENA (Extrusion North America) competitive advantage.

 

Job Location: Remote

 

Salary Range:  $125,000 -$155,000

Required Education/Experience:

  • Minimum three (3) years experience in project management and driving continuous improvement is required
  • Minimum eight (8) years of operational experience in an extrusion tooling technology / die shop management role is required

 

Preferred Skills/Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s in engineering, science or business
  • Sound understanding of EBS or similar program principles is preferred
  • Experience in leading and managing multifunctional and multi-cultural teams required
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with all levels of our organization from shop floor to top management.
  • Must be an effective trainer and presenter with a “people” focus

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Plan and implement activities to effectively institute and share extrusion and extrusion tooling best practices across all ENA operations in safety, quality, productivity, under-nominal, and profitability.
  • Responsible for working with plants to effectively implement OpEx & EBS (Extrusion Business System) practices, along with the sharing and implementation of benchmarking and best practices (tactical).
  • Develop and lead a network of die shop leaders that maintain momentum and consistency in applying extrusion tooling technology best practices throughout the business area operations.
  • Plan and lead activities in extrusion tooling technology advancements to systematically improve ENA competitive advantage.
  • Perform project / results reviews and complete follow-up work with the plants to close existing gaps.
  • Collaborate (partner) with operations management to apply extrusion tooling technology knowledge to drive operations performance through the business area operations.
  • Drive continuous improvement and benchmarking activities related to extrusion tooling technology processes to improve overall performance.
  • 50%-75% travel required.
