MES Functional Specialist

Pay Range: $62,661 - $84,465
Job Summary:
The Functional Specialist is the solution expert of one or more functional area/module in Hydra MES. This position will act as the liaison with operational businesses to conduct research, analyze needs, develop plans, and produce technical reports while maintaining a deep understanding of the business. Travel to manufacturing plants will be required on a project-by-project basis, with project scopes varying annually. This position reports to the Manager, MES Implementations.
Required Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT/Business or a related field, r an equivalent combination of education and five (5) years of experience.
- Minimum of three (3) years working with MES/ERP systems or related platforms.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience with MES systems including data migration and integration activities.
- Specific knowledge of shop floor manufacturing processes, quality systems, and system integrations.
Preferred Skills/Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of the system integration process.
- Expertise in data migration practices.
- Advanced knowledge of any MES/ERP system.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong planning, organizational, and troubleshooting skills.
- Develop and maintain effective and appropriate working relationships.
- Critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently, analyze complex information, draw conclusions, and present findings to senior management.
- Commitment to respecting diversity and collaborating with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to support multiple concurrent projects and Business-as-Usual (BAU) activities.
Job Responsibilities:
- Serve as a functional liaison between departmental stakeholders, staff, and/or vendors.
- Supports multiple projects and BAU activities simultaneously.
- Research and analyze business needs, develop plans, and provide technical support.
- Create detailed functional design documentation.
- Develop and execute test scenarios and scripts to validate solutions.
- Collaborate with solution architects to ensure global template consistency across locations.
- Liaise with live businesses to propose and implement solutions with the assigned functional area/module.
- Travel up to 50% may be required.
