Summary: The HSE Coordinator will report directly to the HSE Manager.  The Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Coordinator is responsible for support and facilitation of the HSE system in all company processes to ensure the health and safety of all personnel and to minimize environmental impact. This person will work within the HSE Department and closely with all other departments to ensure proper execution of the HSE system. The HSE Coordinator will work with employee teams and managers while exhibiting a professional and cooperative attitude. 

 

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Support all company safety programs, policies, and procedures and ensure they are effectively communicated to all employees. Immediately alert management to any serious safety issues and work to implement effective solutions. 

  • Provide support for all environmental related recordkeeping and administration to include compliance with permits, operating conditions, sampling and regulatory standards 

  • Maintain current and accurate information on the company’s Incident Management System website. Maintain safety records, including training, evacuations, and accident and incident records. 

  • Conduct periodic environmental health and safety inspections and support department to follow action plans ensuring all safety and environmental issues are resolved. 

  • Observe and coach department managers and employees in hazard recognition identifying possible safety concerns/areas of improvement. 

  • Develop and provide company-wide training to employees in accordance with OSHA, environmental regulations, and company standards. 

  • Audit HSE system as appropriate to determine compliance. 

 

 

Job Requirements: 

  • Minimum of 2 years of related HSE experience in a manufacturing environment. 

 

Education and Work Requirements:  

  • Post-secondary degree highly desired, but not required. 

  • Basic knowledge of HSE principles and regulations. Strong computer skills with a high level of proficiency with MS Office Programs.
