Industrial Maintenance Mechanic – North York, ON - Canada
The Maintenance Mechanic will report directly to the Maintenance Manager in North York, ON.
Key responsibilities
- Effective troubleshooting and repair of extrusion equipment.
- Carry out day to day preventative maintenance checks.
- Complete assigned work orders.
- Respond to equipment breakdown calls.
- Continually update spare parts data.
- Report in SCS/ Maintenance database completed work orders and equipment downtime.
- Perform routine preventive and predictive maintenance on all equipment related to production operations and building systems.
- Identify root and trend analysis, providing innovative solutions to resolve and remedy hydraulic and pneumatic issues.
- Provide recommendations for continual improvements and maximize efficiencies.
- Pass on technical/mechanical information to mechanical apprentice.
- Learn extrusion processes from mechanic A/B.
- Maintain a safe work environment, complying with the Company's Health & Safety guidelines.
- Must be able to work different shifts, overtime, weekend shifts, and commit to call-ins if required during breakdown situations.
- Able to do lifting.
- Other duties as assigned.
Salary
- Hourly Rate: $28.00 (During probationary period – 850 hours worked).
- After the probation - Salary commensurate with experience.
Shift
- Must be able to work rotating continental shifts (12 hours: from 12am - 12pm and 12pm to 12am).
