Shifts Available and Hours: On-site position, Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM

Job Summary:

The Supply Chain Manager reports directly to the Operations Manager. The primary objective is to ensure that customer orders are delivered complete and on time while maintaining competitive lead times. The role involves leading, assessing, and coordinating the Casting, Quality, Materials Flow, Shipping/Receiving, and Plant Scheduling departments. The role is responsible for connecting sales with manufacturing and aligning demand with plant capacity. The position also provides recommendations on staffing requirements to meet production demands.

Required Education/Experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years of production Control Management experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Diploma/Certification in Supply Chain Management, Production Control, Inventory Management, or any other equivalent training.

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of exposure to aluminum extrusions, finishing, or fabrication industries (asset).
  • Strong MRP/ERP, Oracle/SAP/AS-400 experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytical and independent decision-making skills.
  • Practical application of Lean and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
  • Working knowledge of Manufacturing Resource Planning, particularly work scheduling and lead times.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic production environment while working independently, managing tight schedules, and maintaining the highest standards of excellence.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.  
  • Effective leadership and presentation abilities with a focus on both people and customer needs.
  • Ability to present a positive, unified front to all employees, reinforcing the goals, strategies, and commitment of the leadership team.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee transportation, distribution, and delivery processes to ensure timely and cost-efficient product movement.
  • Develop and implement effective production schedules to meet customer demand while minimizing downtime and optimizing production efficiency.
  • Ensure timely order fulfillment, resolving issues, and meeting customer expectations for delivery accuracy.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure materials are available when needed while minimizing excess stock.
  • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure the timely and cost-efficient procurement of materials and goods.
  • Use historical data and market trends to forecast demand and ensure effective alignment of supply chain operations.
  • Implement Lean and other continuous improvement methodologies to streamline supply chain processes, reduce waste, and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Complete additional tasks and responsibilities as needed to support overall business objectives.
