Are you looking to make a real impact? For over a century, our people have been the driving force in solving some of the world’s most pressing issues – and we hope you’ll join us in solving the next century’s. Whether you're working to close the loop at one of our recycling facilities or ensuring efficient renewable energy processes to decarbonize aluminium production, your contributions make an impact in our shared purpose of propelling our industries and the world into a greener future.

Hydro Energy has more than 100 years of experience in production of renewable energy. Today, we are one of the three largest operators of hydropower production in Norway and a large power market player in the Nordic region and Brazil. We are responsible for developing new business opportunities for Hydro within both renewable energy, hydrogen and batteries, and we provide support to the rest of Hydro’s business areas on contracts, security of supply and energy framework conditions.

With a rich history exceeding a century in renewable energy, Hydro Energy stands as a top hydropower producer in Norway and a significant player in the Nordic and Brazilian power markets.

We're actively diversifying into emerging energy sectors, including hydrogen and batteries, and supporting Hydro's broader objectives in energy related matters. In response to our expanding energy focus, we've launched new units (Batteries, Hydro Rein, and Hydro Havrand) and are enhancing our energy technology unit.
