Enterprise Architect
Are you interested in shaping and safeguarding IT architecture and strategic direction? Then a role in Enterprise Architecture (EA) in Group Information & Technology (GRIT) in Norsk Hydro is something for you.
We are a small team with senior architects covering the whole range of Enterprise Architecture across all Hydro and influence and set direction through Governance and Architecture requirements and advisory for all Business Areas and Global Business Services (GBS), the internal service provider in Hydro and its partners.
We are looking for an Enterprise Architect to join our team. Some travelling is required.

Responsibilities
- Framework establishment and compliance: Develop and enforce the Enterprise Architecture (EA) framework, standards, and policies; ensure adherence and compliance across the IT landscape.
- Strategic analysis and advisory: Analyze current and future IT states to identify gaps and opportunities; advise stakeholders on architecture and integration models.
- Stakeholder engagement and compliance validation: Collaborate with stakeholders like IT Security to provide comprehensive advice; validate compliance with EA requirements and apply principles in solution design.
- Education and culture promotion: Lead initiatives to promote EA awareness and education within the organization; foster a culture of innovation and collaboration.
- Research and strategic contribution: Evaluate emerging technologies and trends for applicability to the organization; contribute to the I&T Strategy Roadmap and enhance I&T and EA Governance.
Desired competencies
- Educational and professional background: Possess an IT/Engineering degree or equivalent, with a minimum of four years of relevant experience in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Fluency in English is a must.
- Expertise in enterprise architecture: Knowledge and experience across EA domains including business, data, applications, technology, security, and governance, with proficiency in frameworks and tools like TOGAF and ArchiMate.
- Specialized knowledge: Familiarity with manufacturing software, IoT, and integration scenarios with enterprise applications is valued.
- Preferred certifications and global experience: Certification in EA, IT architecture, or a related field is preferred; experience working in a multinational, divisional structure is also beneficial.

- Business and IT integration: Possesses a strong blend of business and IT knowledge, adept at translating business demands into IT architecture and aligning the IT landscape with business strategy to demonstrate EA benefits.
- Strategic communication: Skilled in engaging with all organizational levels from top management to operational staff, effectively explaining complex concepts in easily understandable terms tailored to the audience.
- Professionalism and ethical standards: High level of professionalism, integrity, and ethics, complemented by a proactive and outcome-focused approach that embraces change.
- Collaboration and relationship building: Excellent teamwork, collaboration, and negotiation skills, with a proven ability to build relationships and establish a professional network across the company.
- Independent and adaptable team player: Combines a strong sense of independence with team player instincts, showing high levels of initiative and adaptability in dynamic environments.
