Lead Management Systems and Projects
We are looking for a driven and collaborative professional for the newly created position of Lead Management Systems and Projects in Group Legacy.
Group Legacy is responsible for Hydro’s overall legacy strategy and governance, as well as ownership of corporate legacy sites, primarily in Germany and Norway.
The legacy sites require management of a diverse portfolio of projects, processes, and activities. Our operating model is built around a lean internal team that collaborates with and delegates tasks to a broad network of internal and external partners. This approach demands strong governance and oversight to ensure effective execution and alignment with legal and internal requirements as well as strategic goals.
Current projects include environmental and geotechnical remediation, mine closure, and potential photovoltaic park development. Another key responsibility is management of tailings facilities in compliance with the new GISTM standard (Global Industry Standard of Tailings Management), including risk management programs driven by physical climate change risks.
This dual role is essential to ensuring compliance, risk mitigation, and strategic alignment at Hydro's legacy sites. You will drive the development and maintenance of critical management systems, including those for tailings and enviro
nmental and social governance. Additionally, you will lead key projects such as remediation and photovoltaic initiatives.
If you have a strong understanding of governance and oversight, combined with the ability to execute complex initiatives effectively, this is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact.
What We Offer
- Meaningful impact: Operate at the intersection of global sustainability goals and local implementation where your work directly impacts local communities and environments. Be a key driver in the implementation of Hydro’s sustainability strategic goals.
- Leadership development: Develop your leadership skills by managing cross-functional teams across diverse initiatives, processes, and projects, and by influencing stakeholders without direct reporting lines.
- Collaborative team: Work with highly competent colleagues in a collaborative work environment.
- Flexibility and autonomy: Freedom to shape your workday and approach, supported by our commitment to a healthy work-life balance.
- Opportunity to grow into an expanded role in global legacy governance.
