People Consultant - Energy

Hydro Energy has more than 100 years of experience in production and operation of renewable energy. Today, we are one of the three largest operators of hydro power production in Norway, and we have a growing power market presence in the Nordics and Brazil. Our heritage provides the platform to develop new business opportunities within renewable energy, energy as a service, green hydrogen and the whole battery value chain.

HR is the people partner of the Energy units, with responsibility for enabling Hydro’s expanding Energy strategy through its employees. As our People Development Consultant, you will be an integrated member of the whole Energy organization, working both on an organizational level with our different business units, as well as directly with leaders and employees.

You will report to Lead HR Business Partner Energy and be a part of the HR Energy team of five.

Key tasks

Your role will be to translate, conceptualize and implement a wide range of Group HR initiatives into the Energy unit, as well as to develop and deploy specific, tailormade HR initiatives for Energy. Your will provide management with analytics as a basis for decision-making, and you will be a credible go-to person for concepts and ideas on how to develop our organization and capabilities now and in the future. In this role, you will often excel on your strong communication and presentation skills, and with this backdrop, you will be an important contributor in building our Energy culture.

The ideal candidate holds a master’s degree within a relevant field, along with solid methodical and modelling skills within HR. Fluency in English and Norwegian is a necessity, and we regard experience from an international organization as highly beneficial. Project management and presentation skills are required.

We believe you have a proven track record of evaluating business trends and initiating HR actions to meet current and future business needs, and you have a high focus on being a service-provider with accuracy and quality. You have a concise and well-formulated way of communicating, both orally and digitally.

You build trustful relations and communicate effectively with different stakeholders, and you thrive when interacting with people. You have a structured and pragmatical approach to finding solutions, with the ability to handle parallel tasks efficiently.

We offer

Our new People Development Consultant will have a key role in the future growth of Hydro Energy, developing business opportunities together with a professional and committed organization.  This gives great possibilities for professional learning, development, and exposure. You will be a part of a highly competent, dedicated, and inclusive team, and we will offer you a competitive salary, as well as attractive pension conditions.

The position is based in Oslo and will require some travel, depending on the tasks and projects.
