People Consultant – Group HR

With the ability to share new and innovative perspectives and solutions, our new People Consultant will display a fresh approach to existing challenges. The purpose of the role is to contribute to global HR development projects and initiatives, and to support the people process owners and subject matter experts. You will gain a breadth of experience within the field of HR, which will contribute to employee experience and development. We believe in a data driven approach and your responsibility will include analysis of our people data to support better decisions.

You will report to Head of Group HR Organization and Leadership and be part of a department with 12 members working on Hydro’s global strategic People agenda. 

 


Key tasks
You will participate in People & Organization development projects and initiatives in accordance with our People priorities. You will also provide relevant people data and analysis to support recommendations and decisions. In addition, you will be responsible for developing communication and support material for training and communication purposes, as well as develop and follow up performance data and metrics to effectively identify improvement opportunities.

 


Qualifications
The ideal candidate holds a master’s degree within a relevant field, as well as 2-3 years’ experience within the field of People and Organizational development/Human Resources Management. Experience with quantitative analysis and data science related work is highly beneficial, as is solid communication and presentation skills. Experience from management consulting can be an advantage, as well as interest in strategic HR development and trends. Fluency in English is a requirement.

To succeed in the role, it is essential that you are curious, motivated, and well organized. You have strong analytical skills, and the ability to interpret and provide insights out of complex data. Moreover, you manage to communicate these data in a simple way to support business decisions. As a person, we believe you are self-going with solid communication skills. You thrive when building lasting relations and you collaborate well in an international environment. Furthermore, you like to be hands-on, whilst having the ability to see the bigger picture. You are willing to learn and capable of working both autonomously and in teams.

Additional information
The position is based in Oslo and will require some travel, depending on the tasks and projects.
