Group People & Organization at Hydro is responsible for shaping and safeguarding all enterprise-level people initiatives, strategies, processes, and tools. As an integral part of our People organization, we drive business success and play a crucial role in enabling the organization to reach Hydro's strategic agenda.
Our department comprises of two key teams: Lead & Belong and Grow & Innovate. We collaborate with stakeholders across business areas to embed our values throughout the company. The Head of Group People & Organization reports directly to the Executive Vice President of People & HSE.
Position Overview:
As Director of Leadership & Belonging, you will lead a team of six, driving impactful leadership development and inclusion across Hydro. You will collaborate with stakeholders across our business areas to ensure leadership development and inclusion initiatives are effectively implemented and aligned with business needs.
Key responsibilities
- Shape and lead Hydro’s approach to leadership development and inclusion, aligning with strategic priorities and future leadership needs.
- Drive an enterprise-wide Employee Listening strategy, ensuring tools, systems, and processes capture and act on employee insights.
- Foster cross functional collaboration, breaking down silos and ensuring leadership & inclusion initiatives are integrated across the organization.
- Promote and embed diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging throughout the organization.
- Actively contribute to the Group People & Organization leadership team, driving the department forward as a cohesive unit.
- Coach and empower the Lead & Belong-team, ensuring ownership of shared goals and providing necessary tools and support.
- Measure & enhance the impact of leadership and inclusion programs, leveraging data to drive continuous improvements.
Your qualifications and skills
- Proven experience in leadership development, employee engagement, and diversity & inclusion, with a strong track record of driving impact.
- Demonstrated experience leading teams and developing people.
- Ability to drive initiatives across complex, global organizations and translate business strategy into clear priorities and actions.
- Strong facilitation and collaboration skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships at all levels and across business areas.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to inspire change and gain buy-in from senior stakeholders.
- Analytical and data-driven mindset, with experience using employee insights to shape strategy and measure impact.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, organizational development, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Experience working in global or multinational organizations is highly desirable.
