Combustion Control Electrical Specialist

Job Summary: 
Repairs, maintains and trouble shoots Combustion systems. Control’s systems over the plant’s furnaces and ovens

Job Responsibilities:
•    Provides routine maintenance on Combustion systems within the plant
•    Provides trouble shooting of proper operation of combustion systems.
•    Observes mechanical devices on furnaces in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble.
•    Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.
•    Inspects used parts to determine improper operation and defect on combustion systems.
•    Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.
•    Repairs or replaces defective parts. 
•    Installs special functional and structural parts in devices.  
•    Starts devices to test their performance
•    Must be willing to work overtime and be able to respond as need arises to assist plant personnel on off hours.
•    Must be able to attend sponsored training courses
•    Recommends necessary training to upgrade skills level to Maintenance Manager.


Job Requirements:
•    Identifies stored energy and performs all Lockout/Tag-out procedures according to company policy.
•    Performs jobs with knowledge of AC & DC drives.
•    Performs electrical troubleshooting and reads electrical diagrams and symbols.
•    Reads and interprets Electrical and combustion schematic.
•    Reads and interprets PLC programs.  Trouble shoots problems in PLC hardware and software.
•    Must be able to understand and deliver basic commands in English.
•    Must read and understand all work and safety instructions relevant to their specific position.
•    Must be able to use and maintain all basic tools and measuring equipment pertinent to their specific position.

Education and Experience Requirements:
•    High School Diploma or GED equivalent
•    PLC Technician degree preferred 
•    Previous Maintenance Experience preferred
