Customer Account Representative

Summary: Customer Account Representative: The successful candidate will build and maintain strong relationships with customers and serve as the lead point of contact for all operational account management matters. Act as client advocate and work with internal departments to ensure client needs are understood and satisfied. They will assist with handling client complaints, collecting and analyzing data and improving the overall customer experience. This position links customer service to manufacturing through scheduling all manufacturing and raw materials ensuring a balanced approach to inventory management. To succeed in this position, candidates should have exceptional communication, computer and problem-solving skills. You should be resourceful, analytical, adaptable and organized with the ability to build rapport with clients. This position will report to the supply chain manager.
Required Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 5 years’ experience in customer service in a high-volume manufacturing company. Tier 1 automotive experience preferred
- Strong Microsoft Suite and SAP skills
- Effective written and verbal communications skills to build strong interpersonal relationships
Job Responsibilities:
- Primary point of contact for existing and prospective customers.
- Collaborate with internal departments to facilitate need fulfillment
- Responsible for conducting contract review on all incoming customer purchase orders.
- Processes customer orders, credits, complaints, returns and other inquiries.
- Prepare customer delivery reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information to proactively communication potential late deliveries.
- Coordinate with quality, engineering and production operations to ensure 100% customer on-time delivery is achieved by establishing and monitoring schedules to proactively identify and address any issues.
- Run daily pulse calls
- Analyze customer chargebacks and work with analyst to research, contest if necessary and aid in implementing improvements to prevent further occurrences
- Work with engineering on upcoming improvements, sign off on ECRs and coordinate the implementation in the system
- Performs other assignments as directed.
- Experience the Hydro business and learn about all aspects of the AAM Organization.
