Customer Program Manager

Extruded Solutions is Hydro’s largest and most global business area. Our Business Area supplies aluminum profiles and profile-based solutions in various applications ranging from windows and furniture to cars and cruise ships. Within Extruded Solutions, we have business area staff functions based in Oslo, but we also have four core business units; Extrusion Europe, Extrusion North America, Building Systems and Precision Tubing.

Summary: The Customer Program Manager ensures safe and compliant on-time and on-quality delivery of products.  This position owns the processes that ensure products are delivered on time by assessing and coordinating customer demands with manufacturing scheduling and outside service processes. Links customer service to manufacturing through scheduling all manufacturing and raw materials ensuring a balanced approach to inventory management.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Actively contribute to the creation of a safe, secure and healthy working environment and to the achievement of the Company’s environmental obligations and goals.
  • Primary point of contact for existing and prospective customers.
  • Responsible for conducting contract review on all incoming customer purchase orders.
  • Processes customer orders, credits, complaints, returns and other inquiries.
  • Prepares customer delivery reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information to proactively communication potential late deliveries.
  • Maintain master data settings for all assigned products, including MRP settings (i.e. safety stock requirements, standard order quantities, etc.).
  • Utilizes MRP system to manage all customer requirement data including emails, EDI, etc.
  • Responsible for developing a weekly production schedule for all finished goods that supports specific machines and/or work centers.
  • Develop complete understanding of production capacities and capabilities including machine rates, historic OEE and availability of manpower
  • Coordinate with quality, engineering and production operations to ensure 100% customer on-time delivery is achieved by establishing and monitoring schedules to proactively identify and address any issues.

 

 

Job Requirements:

  • Exceptional fluency in English is required, Spanish is a plus
  • Demonstrated proficiency of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Highly motivated, creative, and results oriented
  • Outgoing, consultative, engaging, good communicator
  • Exceptional leadership, influencing, and change management skills

 

 

Education and Work Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment in a supply chain or customer service role is required. 
  • Minimum of 3 years of MRP experience, SAP is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred but a combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Exposure to automotive industry is preferred
