Job Responsibilities:
- Provide a safe working environment for all in the department and enable professional growth
- Reviewing manufacturing specifications to identify materials needed for production.
- Leads a team of Quality professionals to ensure the business is achieving its quality goals and improvement plans for the fabrication center. This is a working supervisor role – the ability to multitask and lead by example is a must.
- Facilitates decision making processes in the development of the business plan and critical operational issues
- Focuses on the strategic outlook and plans for a product or service capability, technical or administrative functions, or production capability
- Drive process improvement initiatives to reduce customer complaints and internal scrap
- Demonstrate use of Six Sigma Experience or advanced problem-solving methodology to improve downstream product benchmarks
- Strong problem-solving skills and follow up communication is key to the success of this role
Job Requirements:
- A well- rounded Quality background, with experience in Quality systems including ISO 9001, IATF, calibration, AIAG, etc.
- Must be able to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and industry standards.
- High preference for experience in Automotive Industry and IATF 16949.
- Must have experience in APQP documentation and complete customer PPAP’s.
- Excellent problem-solving skills required.
- Fabrication (CNC, Forming, Stamping, etc.) experience required.
- High level of competence with ISO Certification, and Microsoft Office software is required
- Fluency in English is mandatory, bilingual (Spanish) Preferred
- Demonstrated ability to work in and through teams, with all levels of the workforce; including the ability to provide in-depth expertise related to policies, procedures, and services in a functional area.
- Must have good customer relation skills and the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization (verbal and written), self-motivated
Education and Work Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in metallurgy or Engineering Sciences
- Minimum 5 years of Quality experience in a Manufacturing facility
