Robotics Technician

Job Summary:

This position will work with all levels of management and report to the Reliability Facilities Engineering Manager. Main responsibilities involve maintaining controls for existing and new equipment. Perform functions related to correcting machine upset conditions, supporting manufacturing process and improvements, Maintenance and Engineering departments with controls as necessary to meet Customer’s Requirements

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Repair automated manufacturing cells.
  • Provide support in establishing planned maintenance routines for manufacturing cells.
  • Edit programming and documentation of PLC, PMC, HMI, VFD, Robotics, etc. 
  • Develop plant equipment specifications. 
  • Train and mentor Maintenance Technicians on routine troubleshooting.
  • Analyzing manufacturing process flows continually for the enhancements of quality, cost reduction, and throughput.
  • Working closely with manufacturing department to develop, coordinate, and implement technical training for employees.
  • Provide engineering support in production departments to trouble shoot and resolve technical problems.
  • Support company policies, procedures, goals, and objectives.

 

Demonstrated Abilities:

  • Working knowledge of Allen Bradly PLC’s and ABB or Fanuc Robots.
  • Ability to read / follow ladder logic, toggle bits and troubleshoot using PLC.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.   
  • Knowledge of manufacturing concepts.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be able to perform and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Must be able to respond quickly to problems; have ability to work in a stressful environment.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with co-workers, supervisors, and managers in both written and verbal form.
  • Decision Making and Problem Solving.
  • Technical and Analytical Capacity.
  • Assist in the development and maintaining a visual workspace.

 

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Working knowledge of Allen Bradly PLC’s and ABB or Fanuc Robots.
  • Ability to read / follow ladder logic, toggle bits and troubleshoot using PLC.
  • Ability to read hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical schematics.   
  • Able to develop data driven solutions for issues identified with various manufacturing equipment.
  • Previous experience with fabrication equipment, required
