Senior Program Manager

Job Summary:  Develop and implement manufacturing plan to launch new aluminum extruded and fabricated products to full production. Project manages product manufacturing development cycle throughout entire launch process and drive improvements to existing products or processes. Maintains product engineering responsibility for released products.


Required Education/Experience:

  • Minimum requirement of BS in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in new product development, manufacturing product launch and project management.
  • Experience in the fabrication of metal components including extruding, machining, stamping, punching, welding and assembly is a requirement.


Preferred Skills/Qualifications: 

  • SolidWorks related experience is preferred.
  • Strong fabrication manufacturing background


Job Responsibilities:

  • Works closely with commercial team and customers to understand and document product requirements. Develop and implement plan to supply prototype parts as part of development or beta test cycle. Communicates regularly with customers on project requirements and status. Assist in the development and review or customer quotes for new equipment and tools as well as cost impacts to engineering changes.
  • Develop manufacturing plan for new products and estimate cost to manufacture products and equipment requirements including machine and tool requirements in terms of capacity and capability.
  • Follows APQP process during product launch along with customer quality documents.
  • Determines and coordinates justification for capital equipment and Initial build of fabrication tools.
  • Program manage the full launch of aluminum extruded and fabricated parts and assemblies to meet product requirements. Develop and monitor detailed project schedules. Document and monitor action items required to meet the project schedule.
  • Position will be based in Phoenix, AZ. Travel to customers, other Hydro locations and outside suppliers will be expected.
