About the job and your team


Entry level crane operator working under the general supervision of a Crane Operator A/Lead or

Foreman, with responsibilities to transport of loads of metal through the Anodizing process with overhead
cranes.

You will work on

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Basic understanding of the finish and process steps for each load
Basic proficiency ensuring equipment is operating within established parameters: cranes, tank
temperatures, bath levels and agitation, etc
Operates cranes safely, securing all loads and making sure no one is under any loads
Controls the time loads are in each tank in order to meet the required specifications for etch, coating
thickness, color and seal
Operates coating and color rectifiers
Basic competency in racking metal without instruction from Lead, foreman etc.
Can work line with minimal assistance
Can run computer on line.
With assistance, operates anodizing and color controls properly (i.e., proper amps/program).
* An
entry level Crane operator is familiar with the operation of controls and needs be able to identify
issues quickly to a Crane Operator A and/or Lead/foreman.
Basic understanding of the anodizing process, understanding of each tank and the role/function of
each tank
Identifies problems with racked parts, load bar etc, prior to entering tank- notifies lead person of
issues and gets it fixed – i.e. sees something is racked wrong, not bolted properly and notifies
someone to fix it instead of running it
Sees issues with material and troubleshoots issues and looks for/tries to resolve issues- smut, bad
color etc. notifies Lab Supervisor, foreman lead man etc.
Basic knowledge of tank maintenance- examples: know how to turn on overflows, knows to check
temperature probes, etc

Your qualifications and skills

Job Requirements:
Must display willingness to learn, be coached, and demonstrate the highest level of safety.
Must be able to understand and deliver basic commands in English
Must have basic math skills, use a calculator and read a tape measure
Must be able to work cohesively in a team environment.
Must be able to sustain reliable attendance for all assigned shifts.
Must be able to wear specialized PPE to include a chemical resistant suit, rubber gloves, vented hood
or face shields for entire shift.
