Quality Engineer

Job Summary: Professional interaction with the customer base responding to customer complaints.  Being an advocate for the company while providing the customer fair disposition. 


Required Education/Experience:

  • A bachelor’s degree (BS or BA) in an Engineering field


Preferred Skills/Qualifications: 

  • 2 years’ experience in a similar role 
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate fluently in English (both written and verbal)


Job Responsibilities:

  • Claim management for all customers of the site.  Owns the accounts from the technical side.
  • Works with the customer to understand how Hydro product performs in their operations (virtually or in-person at their location). Technically evaluates performance issues.
  • Investigates and assigns valid disposition to customer claims.  Presents disposition and works with customer and site quality to prevent future recurrence.
  • Oversees the efficient and effective generation of irrevocable corrective actions.  Completes customer form requirements.
  • Supports the customer service group in resolving service or transactional related issues that impact COTD and accuracy / timeliness in information reporting.
  • Ensures that customer complaints related to Quality are logged and addressed with the same intensity as true transactional rejections.
  • Understands the defined thresholds of acceptability for all customer quality requirements.  Resource for the shop floor on dispositions.  Will assist with referrals for non-conforming product and aid in identifying alternative use.
  • Supports and facilitates communication with the shop floor, the customer, New Business Development personnel as needed or requested.  Assists with FAI/PPAP process and communication of said process.
