Staff Accountant

Job Location: Portland, OR

 

Job Summary: The Staff Accountant will be part of the Finance team reporting directly to the Plant Controller.  The Staff Accountant will be an integral part of the finance team helping maintain and promote financial compliance and controls

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts.
  • Preparing journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations and assisting with monthly close processes.
  • Lead and preform monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Maintain and support capex organization, documentation, and monthly communication
  • Monitor P&L for department expense accuracy
  • Maintain, support, and document fixed assets monthly
  • Maintain, support, and document internal controls
  • Meet processing and reporting deadlines.

 

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required
  • 2 years of accounting experience

 

Demonstrated Abilities:

  • SAP ERP system experience
  • Working knowledge of GAAP
  • Strong numeracy and analytical skills.
  • Good problem-solving and time management skills.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Self-motivated and able to work under pressure
  • Results orientated and organized with the ability to plan and deliver against deadlines
  • Assertive, optimistic, resilient and welcomes change
