Hydro Aluminum Metal – Building a New Plant in Cassopolis, MI.

 

With new construction of our third Recycling Plant in the US brings the opening of a new, state-of-the-art recycling plant in Cassopolis, Michigan, with startup in the fall of 2023. We are looking for talented, ambitious employees to join our “dream team” and you could be part of serving a great purpose in Hydro’s ambitious sustainability agenda, supplying the automotive industry with recycled aluminum and further improving impact to the climate and environment.

We are looking to employ a detail-oriented and experienced Production Planner to create, modify, and manage production schedules. The production planner’s responsibilities include monitoring inventory levels, regularly providing production status updates to management, and facilitating the timely delivery of products to customers. The Production Planner should be able to closely monitor the production process to ensure that production orders are completed using the optimal raw materials.

 

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Production and capacity planning to fully optimize the production and raw materials in operations
  • Owner of the relevant ERP / MES modules
  • Control and implement the modification of customer specifications
  • Control and report the stock and inventories within the production process and ensure optimal order levels.

 

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED: 

  • Be knowledgeable of material requirements planning and able to manage production deadlines.
  • Demonstrate excellent time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills to ensure that production operations run smoothly.  
  • Prior Production Planning experience required
  • Solid understanding of OTD, Production, and Stock Control (RM & FG)
  • Excellent communication and interaction skills for dealing with manufacturing leadership, operators, management and commercial groups
  • Attention to detail with proven ability to research and solve problems
  • Solid understanding of SAP, APICS and Microsoft Office
  • Some college or Associates Degree preferred

 

TRAVEL: 

Except for the period ahead of the start-up where external training may be required, Travel is minimal.

 

WORK AUTHORIZATION: 

Must be eligible to work in the United States
