Machine Operator

Job Location: Rockledge, FL

2nd shift position

Scope:

Produce product by operating various types of machines in compliance with Health Safety and Environmental (HSE) Programs and quality assurance systems to support the achievement of the sites goals and business objectives. Starting, stopping, adjusting line speed and inspecting for defects. Monitoring equipment, recording production and scrap.

Essential Functions:

  • Work to production orders, packing specifications and instruction. 
  • Select proper material for packing based on product specifications and packing requirements. 
  • Prepare packaging materials. Pre-make boxes and stock bins with filler, pre-cut paper, prep tote/pallet etc.
  • Check work at prescribed intervals and record data on check sheets.
  • Ability to follow containment procedures and report serious defects or equipment problems to team leader.
  • Maintain equipment by cleaning, oiling and removing chips and scraps as indicated.
  • Empty scrap boxes regularly.
  • Attend and participate in a variety of meetings and task force groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain specific level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements and policies.
  • Knowledge of chemical hazards, waste management procedures, and implementation of emergency response procedures.
